Children who are medal winners will be eligible to represent the area at the county athletic finals which will be held in Mungret GAA field on June 24th/25th. Weather permitting we will also have novelty races. So come along and have some fun. We will need help on the day running the events so come along and lend your support.
Athletics Training; We will commence training on Thursday May 4th in in Copsewood college from 7 to 8pm until Thursday 22nd June. This training is suitable for all children whether qualifiers for Mungret or not. It is not possible to run this training without the support of parents, so we would ask parents to step forward and give an hour to help on a rota basis. This training is free if your child is already registered for community games, if not you can register them at sports evening or at training.
National Finals: The first week end of the national finals takes place on Sat. 6th May at the National Sports Centre in Blanchardstown. This area will be represented by Ella Corbett and Conor McMahon in swimming and Seán O Sullivan in Gymnastics and we wish them the best of luck.
Church Gate Collection; We recently held a church gate collection at Kildimo and Pallaskenry churches, we are very greatful to all who supported it.
Information; We are continually looking for volunteers to help out with training and to get involved in the club, so if anyone, young or old has an hour to spare and would like to help come along to the sports evening or training session or contact Maeve Galvin at 0872517080.
